Interlibrary Loan

Page history last edited by Linda Holmes 9 years, 1 month ago

If the library does not have the material you need, please consult a reference librarian for interlibrary loan options.  Interlibrary loan and other cooperative arrangements enable students and faculty to extend their research beyond our library's collection and make full use of New York City's resources.

Interlibrary loan requests can be made online through ILLIAD . Be sure to check our library‚Äôs holdings in SARA before submitting an interlibrary loan request to make sure we do not have it in our collection.

When the interlibrary loan material you requested has been received, you will be notified by e-mail by the interlibrary loan department.   Interlibrary loan materials may be picked up at the circulation desk of the library.  If we receive your article request electronically, it will be e-mailed to you.

We have no control over the time it takes for interlibrary loan materials to be received.  The length of time varies from a few days to as long as a month.  If timeliness is an issue, students should obtain a day pass, (green letter or METRO pass)  to a local library that owns the needed material.  Please note that these day passes allow a student to use the material in the library.   Day passes do not allow a student to check the material out.
